HAVANA TIMES, Aug. 26 – Tropical Storm Danny has quickly developed to the east of Nassau, Bahamas. Initial projections show that the storm will not affect Cuba, hard hit by three major hurricanes in 2008.
At 11:00 a.m. EST on Wednesday, the US National Hurricane Center pegged Danny at having 45 MPH winds and a central pressure of 1009 millibars.
The Center projects that Danny will reach hurricane status on Saturday and Sunday with a path off the coast of North Carolina and Virginia and northward.
