Ugandan Lawmakers Pass Modified Anti-LGBTQ Bill that Still Includes Death Penalty

HAVANA TIMES – The Ugandan Parliament on Tuesday passed a moderately altered version of its bill targeting LGBTQ people, after President Yoweri Museveni requested several tweaks. It remains one of the most draconian anti-LGBTQ bills in the world and includes the death penalty in certain cases and a 20-year sentence for the so-called promotion of homosexuality.
