US Senators Propose Sanctions for Honduran President

HAVANA TIMES – A group of Democratic senators has introduced legislation proposing sanctions for Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández. They seek to block financial aid and ammunition sales to Honduran law enforcement over human rights violations and corruption. Herandez has been linked to drug trafficking in at least three major US cases. He is a key US government ally.
