HAVANA TIMES, Feb 15 — A hemispheric meeting of novelists began on Tuesday in Havana with representatives from Ecuador, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Uruguay, Peru, Mexico, Chile and Cuba, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
The writers are meeting at the Dulce Maria Loynaz Cultural Center to discuss their creative experiences and to contribute their varying views on the current state of Latin American and Caribbean literature.
The island’s experience with literary education, advocacy and criticism were approached by Cuban writers Eduardo Heras Leon, Francisco Lopez Sacha, Alberto Guerra, Roberto Manzano and Ismael Gonzalez Castaner.
The Alhucema Solidarity Initiatives Association based in Seville, Spain also sends medical supplies to Cuba.
