Royal Ballet Cuba Pics

Photos by Caridad

HAVANA TIMES, July 16 – The Royal Ballet of London gave its opening night performance on Tuesday in the Cuban capital.  Their presence is the talk of the town with the island’s large dance loving population and foreign visitors alike.  Photographer Caridad was on hand to bring you a spectacular photo gallery.  The troupe, which includes Cuba’s Carlos Acosta, has sellout shows scheduled through Saturday at both the Garcia Lorca Grand Theater and the Karl Marx Theater.

We also present a series of unpublished Havana Times photos of Carlos Acosta dancing fragments from Spartacus in Havana at the opening of the 30th Havana Film Festival last December.
