HAVANA TIMES, January 30 – The Cuban Baseball League 2008-2009 is playing a 90-game season that is half-way completed. Four teams in both the Western and Eastern Divisions will qualify for the first round of playoffs in May.
To allow the national team to practice and then play in the 2nd World Baseball Classic (March 5-23), the Cuban League will have a recess from February 9 until play resumes on March 27.
