German Musician to Present His CD in Cuba

HAVANA TIMES, Feb 1 — A recording project that German trumpeter Arnold Hansch participated in along with Cuban percussionist Alejandro Mayor will presented tomorrow at Havana’s Hispano-American Cultural Center, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

The initiative resulted from the German artist’s 2010 visit to Cuba, when he toured several music schools with his Big Band project and shared the stage with major musicians participating in in Jazz Plaza Festival that year.

The CD Gala Mayor Arnold Hansch y Amigos was already successfully launched in Germany, and the musician hopes to have a similar impact on the public and media here on the island.
