Artworks Being Auctioned for Hurricane Victims

HAVANA TIMES — Cuban artist Nelson Dominguez today called on Cuban artists to organize an art auction to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

The National Arts award winner called upon creators living on and off the island to unite around this call that will serve to contribute to the restoration and rehabilitation of cultural facilities in Santiago de Cuba and other communities in the east.

During a meeting with the press, Dominguez presented his work “Catarsis del juego” (Catharsis Game), which he intends to donate to the project to raise funds. He also requested that each artist contribute the best of their work by providing pieces that any collector would aspire to have.
