CELAC Ministerial Meeting Today in Havana

HAVANA TIMES — The first meeting of the ministers of education of the member nations of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) will be held in Cuba today, reported the Cuban Information Agency (AIN).

The forum will take place in the context of the 2013 International Education Congress, which is taking place until Friday at the Havana Convention Center and attended by 3,000 delegates from more than 30 countries.

Also taking place this year will be a meeting of Culture Ministers of CELAC nations, in Paramaribo, Suriname, where they will focus on issues such as infrastructure, the need to achieve a new regional architecture, and the war against illegal drugs.
