HAVANA TIMES, June 26 — Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez continues his recovery from surgery on Saturday in Cuba and once again used his Twitter account to send messages to his people.

Chavez expressed his joy at the door-to-door effort taking place in Venezuela to identify need and prioritize housing construction for 153,000 families in 2011, while the goal is 2 million in the coming six years.

The Venezuelan president also expressed on his twitter@chavezcandanga account his happiness at having received visits in Havana from several family members including three grandchildren.

Hugo Chavez arrived in Cuba on June 8, on the last leg of a three nation tour that included Brazil and Ecuador.  He underwent surgery for a pelvic abscess in Havana on June 10th.

His brother Adan stated last week that if the recovery continues on course, President Chavez should be in Caracas sometime in the first week of July.
