China VP Xi Jinping Visits Cuba

HAVANA TIMES, June 4 — Chinese VP Xi Jinping arrives in Havana on Saturday evening on an official visit, reported the Cuban press.

China is Cuba’s second leading trade partner, after Venezuela, and the VP will meet with President Raul Castro, First VP Jose Ramon Machado Ventura and other top leaders.

Cuba is the first leg of a three-nation trip in Latin Amierca by Xi Jinping.  He will also visit Uruguay and Chile in an effort to boost bilateral ties.
