Church Announces Release of Eight Prisoners

HAVANA TIMES, March 5 — Eight Cuban political prisoners will be released in the next few days, seven of whom will travel to Spain according to the agreement between that country, the Catholic Church and the Cuban government, Havana Archbishopric spokesman Orlando Márquez announced. The number of released dissidents since 2010 now amounts to 85, reported IPS.
