Colombian Gov. and Guerrillas Resume Peace Talks in Cuba

HAVANA TIMES — The Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) are resuming talks today at Havana’s Convention Center following an extended 23-day break, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

The parties will continue the discussions that began on November 19. So far these have focused on the issue of land, which is considered key to ending decades-long armed conflict.

Adding to its 21 days of work and over 100 hours of talks, last week the peace process incorporated the results of a land development forum held in Bogota to encourage the participation of Colombian society.
