Cuba’s Inclusion on Terrorist List Debated

HAVANA TIMES, Dec 1 — The Zinger Room, at the National Press Club in Washington DC, will host an academic seminar today to analyze what is categorized as the arbitrary inclusion of Cuba on the list of nations sponsoring terrorism.

According to the Prensa Latina (PL), participants will include analysts, academics and politicians. Among those who stand out are Wayne Smith, a former US diplomatic representative in Cuba; and Carlos Alzugaray, a professor at the University of Havana.

The conference is designed to promote the establishment of dialogue between civil society in Cuba and US citizens interested in normalizing relations between the two countries.
