Cuba’s Yargelis Savigne Wins Triple Jump

HAVANA TIMES, Feb. 4 — Cuba’s Yargelis Savigne won the women’s triple jump of the PSD Bank Meet taking place in Dusseldorf Germany.

Savigne leapt 14.84 meters, far ahead of second place Dana Veldakova (SVK – 14.29).  The mark was the best of the year for triple jumpers.

In the same meet a recuperated Dayron Robles of Cuba won the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.50 seconds.
