HAVANA TIMES — The Cuban government on Thursday rejected a draft resolution by the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency on the Iranian nuclear issue, claiming that it was “clearly unbalanced and lacking a holistic view.”
The Cuban representative at the international event, Rodolfo Benitez, criticized the “hijacking of the language by a few states for purposes of imposing their criteria, which instead of encouraging the settlement of the dispute will further impede it.”
The resolution, which includes demands on Iran to assume “additional protocol,” was adopted by thirty-one votes in favor, one against and three abstentions, according to the Prensa Latina news agency.
