Cuba Ups Doctors in Angola to 844

HAVANA TIMES, July 23 – Cuban President Raul Castro promised to send to Angola a new contingent of 239 health professionals, who will join the group of 605 Cuban doctors currently working in that southwest African country, announced Angolan Prime Minister Paulo Kassoma, reported IPS.

President Castro concluded his two-day trip to Angola on Thursday, returning home to Cuba in the early morning hours on Friday.

During his African tour he also visited Algeria and Namibia and attended the Non Aligned Movement summit in Egypt where he gave a report on Cuba’s three years as chair of the 118-nation organization.
