Cuba-US Anti-drug Cooperation

HAVANA TIMES, June 25 — Cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking between Cuba and the United States made it possible to dismantle 19 operations in the last decade, said Yoandrys González, head of operational cooperation of the Technical Police of the Cuban Ministry of Interior.  Both nations punctually collaborate in each case through communications between the coast guard services and a liaison at the US Interests Section on the island, reported IPS.

The cooperation exists despite the half century US economic blockade on Cuba and the travel ban that Washington imposes on its citizens to prevent them from visiting the Caribbean island nation.
