Cuban Boxer Sanctioned, Olympic Medalist

HAVANA TIMES — The Cuban Boxing Federation announced on Wednesday that London 2012 silver medalist (64 kilos), Yasnier Toledo, has been temporarily booted from the Cuban national boxing team.

According to JIT online, Toledo will continue training in his province and could regain a chance to be on the national squad by participating and winning in the Cuban boxing events.

As is often the case when an athlete receives a sanction, the reasons for Toledo being demoted were not made public.
