Cuba’s Mijain Lopez Repeats Gold Medal

HAVANA TIMES — Cuba’s Mijain Lopez has repeated as the Greco-Roman wrestling champ in the 120 kilo division of the London Olympics, a title he won in Beijing 2008.

Lopez medal gives Cuba a total of three in the current Olympiad.

The island now ranks 14th on the overall medals standings with three gold, two silver and one bronze.

The other gold medal winners so far for Cuba Idalis Ortiz in the women’s 78 kg judo event and Leuris Popo in the 25-meter rapid fire pistol event.
