HAVANA TIMES — Chile’s PAL Airlines started direct flights to Cuba’s Varadero beach resort this weekend on one of its 388-seat aircraft, reported the Prensa Latina.
The Juan Gualberto Gomez International Airport in Matanzas will begin receiving Chilean tourists every Sunday, while the airline will make a total of five trips by February 24.
This past Sunday, 250 tourists from the Chilean capital landed at that airport, according to the Cuban Ministry of Tourism.
