Earthquake barely felt in Santiago de Cuba

HAVANA TIMES — A 3.1 magnitude earthquake took place at 5:13 p.m. Friday afternoon southeast of Santiago de Cuba. There are no reports of injuries or material damage, although the tremor was felt in Baconao, La Gran Piedra, Río Carpintero, El Caney and Centro Urbano Abel Santamaría. Such quakes are common in this part of Cuba.
