European Airlines Operating Highly Polluting Empty Flights

HAVANA TIMES – Outrage is mounting over news that a number of airlines are operating tens of thousands of near-empty flights in Europe amid the COVID surge in order to retain coveted airport landing slots. Climate activists slammed the practice, including Greta Thunberg, who tweeted sarcastically, “The EU surely is in a climate emergency mode.”
