Fidel Castro TV Interview Tonight

HAVANA TIMES, August 9 — An interview with Ex Cuban President Fidel Castro will be broadcast on Cuban TV and radio on Monday evening, including Cubavision International for those outside the country,  at 6:00 p.m. Cuban time (EST).

The Cuban media reported this morning that the interview took place on Sunday and was conducted by four Venezuelan reporters from TeleSur TV, Andrés Izarra, Walter Martínez, Vanessa Davis and Mario Silva.

The subjects covered include the threats of a US-Israeli war against Iran, the tense situation between Colombia and Venezuela, the Case of the Cuban Five and global environmental challenges.

Fidel Castro returned to public life on July 7 after a four-year prolonged convalescence.  In the last five weeks he has visited numerous Cuban workplaces, appeared on the Round Table TV program and he addressed the parliament on Saturday.

Fidel is considered the senior advisor to the  government of his brother President Raul Castro.
