HAVANA TIMES, Jan 10 — The Grand Valley State Michigan University baseball squad is back in the USA after a weeklong stay in Cuba where they played three exhibition games with a Cuban university team.
While US and Cuban leaders have a notoriously difficult time breaking the inertia of a half century of hostile relations, occasional cracks in the ice show that the problem is at the governmental level but not people-to-people.
The three games were won by the Cuban team with scores of: 13-5, 8-5 and 4-3
An article published today titled “Grand Valley State baseball players find surprises during trip, games in Cuba” provides details of the trip in the Grand Rapids Press.
