Some afternoon showers
By Yanet Díaz
HAVANA TIMES – The days will be warm, with the presence of low clouds and isolated afternoon showers associated with daytime warming and high humidity. The wind will remain from the northeast, with speeds between 10 and 20 km/h.
The high temperatures will be between 29 and 30° C (84 F and 86 F), while the lows will be 22 and 23° C (72 and 73 F). The sea surface temperature will be 28° C (82 F).
Meteorological conditions:
The center of Tropical Storm Rina is located approximately 850 km south-southeast of Cape Race, Newfoundland. This storm is moving north-northeast at 30 km/ h with minimum central pressure of 997 millibars and maximum sustained winds of 92 km/h. Due to its current path, this system does not represent a danger for Cuba as it heads toward northern Ireland and the United Kingdom.
On the other hand, all of western Cuba and its adjacent seas remain under a weak anticyclonic influence, with a northeast flow and good weather conditions. These synoptic conditions are likely to persist for the coming few days.
On the North Atlantic, the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico, the formation of a tropical cyclone is not expected during the next 5 days.
