HAVANA TIMES — Cuba’s deputy attorney general, Rafael Pino will appear today before the UN Human Rights Council, in the second and final part of the Universal Periodic Review, launched last May.
According to Prensa Latina, on this day, the Cuban government will respond to the recommendations made on May 1, and hopes for the recognition and adoption of its report, said the Cuban ambassador in Geneva, Anayansi Rodriguez.
Cuba accepted most of the recommendations, many of which have already been completed and others are in the process of implementation, said the diplomat. However, Cuba rejected those matters that ” reflect a clear political bias against Cuba and have been built on false pretenses.”
The national press in Cuba has not explicitly reported on any of the recommendations issued by the EPA.
