Industriales/Ciego de Avila Begin Finals

HAVANA TIMES — The championship series of the Cuban Baseball League is set to begin on Sunday between Industriales and Ciego de Avila. The former with four titles in the last decade and the later seeking its first ever, after finishing second last season to Pinar del Rio.

The first two games are scheduled at Havana’s Latinoamericano stadium for Sunday and Monday, weather permitting. Games three, four and a possible fifth would be in Ciego de Avila.

Industriales made it to the finals by defeating Cienfuegos and Matanzas, while Ciego de Avila defeated Las Tunas and Granma.
