HAVANA TIMES, May 4 — Poets from Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Angola, the United States and Cuba are sharing their works from May 2 to 7 in the eastern provinces of Cuba as part of the International Conference of Verse, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
The event kicked off in the city of Holguin as part of the 19th annual “Romerias de Mayo” cultural festival. The bards will later travel to Santiago de Cuba on Sunday and Monday to read to and interact with the representatives of publishers in that city.
At the end of their activities, participants will continue with a program in Havana until May 10, when they will appear on a panel concerning the poetry of Cuban youth and will participate in the “Tertulia del Sur” literary circle.
