HAVANA TIMES, May 11 — The Sixth International Meeting on Justice and Law, being held at the Havana Convention Center, will host more than 500 delegates from 14 nations from May 23 to 25, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
At a press conference, Supreme People’s Court president Ruben Remigio said discussions will occur concerning the Family Act, alternative sanctions to imprisonment, the reintegration criminals to society, and advances in the treatment of prisoners.
According to reports, the meeting will be attended by Elias Carranza, the director of the UN’s Latin American Institute for the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders, in addition to other figures from the world of law.
