Nadine Gordimer Clamors for Cuban 5

HAVANA TIMES, Feb. 18 — South African Nobel Literature Prizewinner Nadine Gordimer said in Havana on Wednesday that the United States should free the Cuban Five, imprisoned for over 11 years in the US on charges of conspiracy to commit espionage, reported IPS.

Cuba considers the Cuban Five as heroes for having infiltrated terrorist groups plotting against the island and its interests.  The Miami-based exile organizations are allowed to operate under the complacent eye of the US government.
