New York Gallery Art in Havana, Cuba

HAVANA TIMES, March 24 — The exposition Chelsea Visits Havana, a show of 39 works including paintings, sculptures and installations from New York galleries will be on display at the Fine Arts Museum in the Cuban capital from March 28 to May 17.

The show takes place as part of the Havana Biennial Art Show (March 27-April 30).

“Chelsea Visits Havana will be the largest collective display of contemporary American art in Cuba in nearly 25 years,” reported The Canadian Press which quoted the exhibits US curator Alberto Magnan as saying: “It would be wonderful if an opening between the two countries could start with art.”
