HAVANA TIMES — A caravan of buses brought to Cuba in the past by the US interfaith organization Pastors for Peace, toured several major arteries of the Cuban capital on Sunday, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
The 14 buses left the National Theatre of Cuba, which faces onto Revolution Square, carrying citizens from the USA, Mexico and Canada who came to the island on Saturday night after embarking a load of 100 tons of humanitarian aid.
The caravan then traveled to the Jose Marti Anti-imperialist Tribune, opposite the US Interests Section in Cuba, to pay tribute to the founding leader of the solidarity organization, Rev. Lucius Walker, who died in September 2010.
The group’s program of activities will run until July 31 as part of the 23rd edition of the delivery of donations to the Caribbean country, an initiative that has been carried out since 1992.
