Pollution Drops in Bay of Havana

HAVANA TIMES, Nov. 13 (IPS) – The recovery work in the Bay of Havana made it possible in 2008 to reach the “minimum permissible threshold for marine life,” a mean five milligrams of oxygen per litre, affirmed Santiago Reyes Pérez, assistant director of the State-run Working Group for the Cleaning, Conservation and Development of the Bay of Havana (GTE-BH).
