HAVANA TIMES — Cuban President Raul Castro arrived in Vietnam on Saturday for a four-day visit after several days in China.
The visit to both countries is Castro’s first since assuming the presidency from his brother Fidel.
According to the government press, Cuba and Vietnam are currently cooperating in many fields, headed by agriculture, telecommunications, oil, gas, tourism, infrastructure, education and training.
The trip by the Cuban leader seeks to further the cooperation.
Without revealing any details, the official Cuban press said that while in China “several economic accords were signed.”
