Reggaeton: Baby Lores Debuts in Miami

HAVANA TIMES — Controversial Cuban reggaeton musician Baby Lores will perform in Miami in September, announced that city’s Café Fuerte website.

The US tour by the popular artist is already causing a stir among fans of his music and his political critics, said the website, recalling the tattooed image of Fidel Castro that Lores wears on his left shoulder

Roberto Heredia, a representative Miami Vice Promotions, said: “That’s his opinion, which should be respected. I’ve never asked any artist who comes from Cuba how they define themselves politically. That has no relevance in what I do, which is to promote good music.”

Lores’s debut will be on September 22 at Club Ache in Miami, though he is expected to also give concerts in Tampa and New York.
