Respect for Legal Guarantees for Cubans

HAVANA TIMES, Dec 21 — The president of Cuba’s Supreme Court, Ruben Remigio, yesterday made reference to respect for legal guarantees established in the procedures for individuals, institutions and society as a whole.

In remarks to Prensa Latina, the official commented that justice must accompany and adapt the administration of changes taking place in the country today. The way to do this is to improve the respect for the guarantees of rights by providing qualitatively superior justice, he added.

Remigio attended the discussions by the Committee on Constitutional and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly to present the accountability report of that institution. That report will submitted to the plenary of parliament on Friday.
