US Realtor Interested in Cuba

HAVANA TIMES, Jan 10 — Wendy Cole, the editor of the US magazine Realtor, traveled to Cuba recently because of her interest in discovering the potential of the real estate market on the island, reported the website Café Fuerte on Monday.

Although “the housing stock is old and shabby,” the specialist predicted “a boom in real estate, which currently has no alternative but to grow.”

Cole is an influential promoter of the real estate business in the United States, according to the news note, and the magazine that she edits is the leader in that field nationally.

Her trip to Cuba was stimulated both by property ownership reforms implemented by the Raul Castro government and by the new policy of cultural and educational contacts promoted by the Barack Obama administration.
