HAVANA TIMES – While the Venezuelan population is immersed in a spiral of hyperinflation and shortages of basic products, the little-known pollster, International Consulting Services (ICS), reveals that the re-election of Nicolas Maduro is nearly a sure thing, which will allow him to govern until the year 2025.

According to Maduro, after winning the early elections scheduled for April 22, he will focus on solving the oil rich country’s economic problems, accumulated during the last five years because of what he terms “the economic war” and “imperialism.”

The consulting firm “revealed that 56.3% of Venezuelans will re-elect the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, in the elections that will take place on April 22,” the state-run Agencia Venezolana de Noticias (AVN) reported.

“It is a fact that President Maduro is going to be re-elected for these elections,” said the director of ICS, Ronald Sánchez, when analyzing the results of the study, during an interview granted to the Encendidos program, broadcast by the state-owned Venezolana de Televisión.

Sanchez also explained that the sample says that 80.8% of Venezuelans are willing to vote in elections.
