Weather in Havana, April 11-17

Good weather conditions

Eduardo A. Fernandez Diaz

HAVANA TIMES — The island is under the influence of high pressures moving across the Atlantic Ocean. These are creating airflows predominating from the east and therefore promoting higher daytime temperatures.

Also important in the meteorological situation is a frontal system located in the continental area of North America. This system h will approach the Gulf of Mexico in the next few hours and will cause a slight change of weather when it arrives in Cuba, where it will increase the chance of showers and thunderstorms here.

Winds will be from the east, and sometimes from the east-southeast, with speeds below 15 knots (28 km/hr).

No significant variation will be observed in the temperature, with the maximum remaining about 31°C (88°F), and the minimum around 22°C (72°F).

The sea surface temperature will be approximately 25°C (77°F) and 26°C (79).
