WHO Recognizes Cuba’s Work in Haiti

HAVANA TIMES, May 28 — The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes the work of the Cuban medical brigade in Haiti, said Henriette Chamouillet, WHO representative in that country, Cuba’s state-run press reported.  The island is collaborating with that multilateral agency in three fundamental areas: care for pregnant women and newborns, vaccination and the extension of free healthcare services, reported IPS.
