Cuba to Host International Wrestling Tournament

HAVANA TIMES, Feb 3 — A total of 13 countries have confirmed their attendance at the 43rd edition of the Granma-Cerro Pelado international wrestling tournament, planned for February 10-16 in Havana.

Nations such as Norway, Lithuania and Egypt will take part in these games on the island for the first time, said Cuba’s national commissioner of that sport.

Other delegations also set to attend are the Dominican Republic, France, Italy, Germany, Argentina, Canada, the USA, Ecuador, Tajikistan, and Russia.

It was also reported that referees from El Salvador, Nigeria and Iran will take part in a wrestling training course here on February 9 and 10.
