Cuban Divers Finish 3rd in Dubai

HAVANA TIMES — Cuban divers Jose Antonio Guerra and Jeinkler Aguirre managed a bronze medal on Thursday in the second phase of the World Diving Series 2013 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, informed JIT online.

With their performance in the sincronized platform event at the Bin Rashid Sports Complex, the Cubans accumulated 417.39 points, improving on their fouth place finish last week in China.

On Friday and Saturday the individual events will be decided, although the Cubans won’t be competing in these. The six stage of the World Diving Series will take place April 19-21 in the English city of Edimburgo, a week later they will be in Moscow and lastly in Mexico in May.
