Cuban Platform Divers Participating in the Montreal Grand Prix

HAVANA TIMES, May 3 — Cuban platform divers Jose Antonio Guerra and Jeinkler Aguirre will participate from today until Sunday in the second phase of the Montreal Grand Prix, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

In this Canadian contest, the Cubans are now competing in the individual section of the 10-meter platform dives and are in contention for the medals that will be awarded on Sunday. On Saturday, the synchronized platform diving will take place.

Guerra and Aguirre are participating in the event only as part of their preparation for the London Olympics, as they have already qualified for the summer games. They will also compete in the fifth phase of the Grand Prix, scheduled for June 15 to 17 in Madrid.
