Cuban Swimmer Wins Bronze in French Meet

HAVANA TIMES — Cuban Swimmer Hanser Garcia won a bronze medal in the 50 meter freestyle competition with a time of 22.43 seconds on Wednesday in a French meet in Canet, reported Prensa Latina.

The Caribbean double medalist at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara in 2011 will also compete today in the trials for the 100-meter freestyle competition.

His new title is valid for the European Mare Nostrum circuit, which the Cuban swimmer is preparing for with an eye on it leading to the Olympic Games in London, set for July 27 to August 13.
