HAVANA TIMES — Renowned Cuban filmmaker Fernando Perez is about to start filming his new film La pared de las palabras, reports the website Noticine.

The movie will be an independent production with the participation of the Spanish company Wanda Films. In it, local artists Isabel Santos (who starred in Clandestinos) and Jorge Perugorria (Strawberry and Chocolate) will appear in leading roles.

“I can tell the public to expect a tremendous character, a character for which I have been waiting for a long time – and that wait wasn’t in vain,” said the iconic actress Santos in the blog of Cuban filmmaker Carlos Barba.

Fernando Perez is the director of brilliant films from the island, among which stand out Madagascar, Suite Habana and Marti, el ojo del canario.
