Canadian Youth Dies from Fall at Cuban Beach Resort

HAVANA TIMES — Canadian citizen Horacio “Odaine” Lumley was found dead after falling from third-floor balcony of a hotel at Cuba’s famous Varadero beach resort, reported the Café Fuerte website on Saturday.

The Canadian Embassy in Havana is remaining in contact with the Cuban police, as the investigation of the case continues. Currently there are several versions of the incident, some of which are related to a young Cuban woman who was with the 22-year-old tourist.

Lumley’s body underwent an autopsy and is being held by Cuban authorities while the family decides whether the remains should be sent to Jamaica, where the youth’s mother still resides.
