ECURED Website Marks Its First Year

HAVANA TIMES, Dec 15 — The Collaborative Cuban Encyclopedia (ECURED) yesterday celebrated its first anniversary at a school in the Havana municipality of Boyeros, reported the AIN News Agency.

During the meeting, the third version of the ECURED Portable was introduced, which will now be made available at all schools and youth computer clubs across the country.

The website, with more than two million hits since its creation, is intended as an educational tool that shows a different view of Cuba from that portrayed by the large information transnationals, said the note.
