Habanos Festival Ends Today

HAVANA TIMES, March 2 — After nearly a week of activities, the 14th annual Habanos Festival concludes today at the capital city’s PabExpo fairgrounds with an auction of humidors and other items related to tobacco agribusiness.

According to a report by the Prensa Latina news agency, the always anticipated closing will include a meeting dedicated the Romeo y Julieta cigar brand and will highlight the extensive promotion program on cigars that will be shaping up in 2012, where the Partagas brand will have a high profile.

The event, which was held primarily at the Havana Conference Center, confirmed the high quality of Cuban cigars and their close link with the culture and traditions of the island.
