Musicians from Russia and the US Give ‘Concert for Tolerance’ in Cuba
HAVANA TIMES — Musicians with the New York Youth Symphony and the Spivakov Foundation in Moscow gave a concert in Havana as part of the artistic and educational initiative of the visiting “Ship of Tolerance,” reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
The project brought together talented teenagers from all three nations, who performed pieces of classical and Cuban music, as well as songs from New Orleans (the birthplace of jazz and the blues).
Russian-Americans Ilya and Emilia Kabakov, who lead this initiative, are carrying their messages of reflection and peace throughout various parts of the world, where children paint their views on peace and tolerance on the sails of the boat.
